Hispanic IDEAL (English)
IDEAL: Institute for the Development and Training of Leaders
IDEAL was born from a desire to serve the growing Spanish-speaking Hispanic population of metro-Denver. Many of these immigrants are evangelical Christians, who attend dozens of congregations along the Front Range. The program was inaugurated in September, 2005, and continues to grow at an encouraging rate.
The courses utilize materials produced by SETECA (El Seminario Teológico Centroamericano) in Guatemala and others that are produced locally. Currently Denver Seminary offers two levels of programs: El Plan Básico and El Plan Ministerial. Courses are taught in Spanish on Monday and Tuesday nights and on Saturdays.
The coordinator of IDEAL was Dr. M. Daniel Carroll R., Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Denver Seminary. Wilmer Ramírez, adjunct professor of Bible at SETECA, assumed leadership of the program in August, 2006.
